There are about 3 things that tend to make my list of gratitude every night: 1. A time that I connected with someone, 2. Something beautiful or amazing in nature (the other day I saw a bald eagle with a catfish in its talons!), and 3. Something involving music.
Lately there has been a lot in the music arena. Last week, when I was at one of the rehearsals for the spring concert, I found myself moved to tears during the Taiko Drum song. I didn't know anyone could be moved to tears because of drums! The children's joy while playing them was so evident!
I have also enjoyed listening to and watching the junior high students in their garage band practices and performance. They are having so much fun with this!
It has been a blessing to sing with the junior high choir. Thank you, Terri, for your time with these musical endeavors, and for helping us to worship God with music.
Last night we heard an amazing band concert. Mrs. King did a great job reminding all of us of the value of music and prayed that we might always do what we do for God's glory.
The psalms also remind us of this. They are replete with references to music--song, dance, and the playing of instruments!
Let everything that has breath give praise to the Lord, alleluia! (Psalm 150)
