Hot Cross Buns--Not
Beginning band performances are not new. An old staple you could pretty much count on, Hot Cross Buns, was at pretty much every recital. Now, no stones should be thrown at the piece. Getting children to have their instrument out and play at the same time, regardless of the selection, sometimes takes an act of God Himself. Having set that bar in place, the recent music programs have gone so far over the bar, I can hardly see them!
Evidence of the above:
- The Asian K-4 concert. The music, the animals, the drums, the languages each of them put the program over the top of the normal!
- The Band Concert at Pius. Here’s where we used to hear the tune titled above. Beginning band (and all that follows) has taken a lot of steps forward!
- Strings Concert. We are really stretching the children forward. The selections from the classical musicals were so readily recognizable from the first few notes. Accompanying Mr. Flattery and having Dr. Temme play with the children, not only shows them what they can do but helps them see where they can go with their talents!
- Jr. High Choir. This one happens on Monday at the 7:00 Holy Hour. In anticipation I’ll add it, but not count it as evidence yet, though we have been blessed to hear many of their meditations at Mass!
What a way to bring the year closer to a close. I am so proud of our kids, our teachers and our parents and our school as a whole. Our arts are doing well, so is the rest of the school in many places. We have our spots to work, but how blessed we are! Let’s finish well.

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. SFA with the help of almost every one of you it seems has treated us up one side and down the other with all kinds of goodies. Every time I go to the faculty room there is something new there. There are even vegetables for the health freaks, I wouldn’t want to deprive them of those, so I leave them for the fit and trim. Extended Day Program
For the 24-25 school year we will have an extended day program that starts at 3:20 and runs until 5:30. There will be a modest cost for the program. To secure a spot in the program for your children, please email the school office at tael-aa@cdolinc.net . We will maintain the program over time for the next years, so you can count on it for your children, if needed, over the long haul. Thank you.
Nebraska Catholic Giving Day 2024
Thank you one and all for your generous support of St. Teresa School during the Catholic Day of Giving! Our total is currently:

We are so close to our goal of $10,000! The online giving portion will be open through midnight tonight!
We will keep you posted on the final amount as we near the end of May.
Tuition Payments
Please refer to the tuition statements that you received for your balances for the 2024-2025 school year. Check your FACTs account to see what payment plan you have selected (if you did not select a plan, you were automatically reenrolled in the plan you selected last year). Please note FACTs assesses the following fees:
• 1 or 2 Payments: $25
• 3+ Payments: $55
You may bypass these fees entirely if you are able to remit the total amount due by May 23rd, the final day of school.

Spring is here!
It’s time to spring clean those closets!
Have your boys outgrown their school uniform pants or shorts? Please Consider donating gently used items to the used uniform closet.
Has your daughter outgrown her jumper or skirt? Please consider donating skirts and jumpers to the used uniform closet.
Have your children outgrown their shirts? Come shop the used uniform closet for polos to get through the end of the year or prepare for next year.
You can drop off donated items to the office during the school day.
