A big part of education (and life in general) is growing in wisdom. What a great blessing it is when we have a teacher to help us grow in wisdom! True wisdom is seeing things as God sees them. This can be shown through an analogy. Have you ever looked at a beautiful woven tapestry on a wall? The front side clearly shows the image, but if you were to flip it over and look at the back, it would be harder to discern that image. In fact, what might primarily stand out to you could be a mess of strings. Without wisdom, we see things in this light--what God is trying to show us might not be clearly discernible at the moment. Sometimes we think we know what is going on or find fault with the way God has allowed things to happen, when in reality we might be looking at the mess of strings. With wisdom, the image becomes clear and lovely--or at least we begin to see what God is doing.
Jesus is the best teacher to help us grow in wisdom. We are blessed with great teachers here at St. Teresa School. Our teachers learn from Jesus, the Master Teacher first, and then share what they've learned through prayer and study with their students. Let us sit at the feet of Jesus, asking Him to teach us. We have so much to learn! When it does not seem to come fast enough for us, may we find consolation in the line below from the book of Wisdom.
