Sunglasses
If your child needs to wear sunglasses, please notify his/her teacher. They seem to be becoming the rage at recess. They do some passing around of the glasses also...we try to foster simplicity...leave them home please...unless there is a need, then see the first sentence. Thank you. We are blessed to partner with you.
ADULT ENRICHMENT 1.1
Please join us for the first installment of adult enrichment at St. Teresa School. We will gather on Thursday, September 25
th from 7:00 - 8:30 at the school. (Exact venue will be determined later.) For our first session, we will consider a letter written by St. Thomas More to his children's tutor. Please respond to Jean Timmerman
jean-timmerman@cdolinc.net to reserve your spot. (There is not a limit to the numbers, but we will need to have an idea of how many to accomodate before the date.) Here is the link to the letter:
Microsoft Word - Letter to Gunnell. Discussion questions will be sent to those who plan to attend and will be included in next week's newsletter. Please direct questions to Jean Timmerman.
School Security During Mass
At school Masses we have a staff member who stays in the narthex during Mass. They also check the cry room and restroom to make sure they are not occupied. We will begin locking the side doors of the church just before Mass begins on weekdays when there is school. People can still exit those doors, but they will need to enter through the back doors.
Dangers of Artificial Intelligence
With AI it is relatively easy to impersonate family members saying things they would never say. Among the more recent hoaxes....Pope Leo saying you do not need to confess sins to a priest. Note it is FALSE.
St. Michael, defend us in battle.

First meeting is September 10th (the only meeting that is a 2nd Wednesday).
This year's focus is on gratitude and outreach. We typically do activities such as hands-on service projects, keeping kitchen supplies stocked and in good order, serving coffee and rolls after Mass or funeral dinners, cleaning the church, and more.
Church Cleaning
Have you ever wondered who cleans the church? We are looking for a couple of more families to join this effort of cleaning God's house. The time commitment is about 1 hour once a month and this time counts toward service hours for any children who help. We need one family to commit to once a month and one or two families to be subs for when others are unable to clean for their week. For questions, please contact Sarah Tlamka at 402-742-4007.
