That is the subject line in a message to all of us CKs (School Sisters of Christ the King) from Mother Margaret Mary this morning! I love it! There we are! That last sentence does not have a grammatical error. What appears singular in the picture (one CK) is actually plural. When one of us in our community does something, we all do, so we all rejoice that one of us is there. That’s not just any CK kissing the Holy Father’s ring. That is Sister Peter Marie. She asked for the name Peter because she particularly loves St. Peter, the first Holy Father. In her first-grade classroom St. Peter comes up, not just daily, but hourly...let’s just say at every opportunity. So, for all of us who could have the opportunity, I’m so glad it is she. By the way, this picture is from THIS MORNING. The world is a little smaller than it used to be. Rarely do I pass along such cutting-edge news! Also, we CKs are in this St. Teresa Parish Community, which makes this picture a community picture for you too. Rejoice with us! I was in the 2nd grade classroom helping them understand that there are 7 billion people in the world and ONE Holy Father. This is even bigger than any president of the United States, one Holy Father for the whole world.
A bit of background…Sister is there with Sister Fiat Marie, studying in the heart of the Church so they can be a good formators of souls, as God would have them be. Daughters of the Church, Mothers of Souls, Brides of Christ, that’s what our consecration makes us, now we try to live it with His grace. Thank you, Lord for that moment of grace that encapsulates so much.
Sister Mary Michael, C.K.
